Position Profile:
The Collections Specialist primary responsibility is to ensure that all customers pay within 30 days and past due accounts are contacted once a week at a minimum.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Call all invoiced customer accounts that are approaching 30 days to ensure they have received their invoice and answer any questions they may have
· Assure that all insurance and mortgage documents required by each individual customer have been completed and filed.
· Identify accounts approaching 60 days to prepare lien filings and get them filed
· Communicate effectively with others in the organization to respond to collection issues
· Research data to determine factors required to resolve collection issues
· Answer and return customer calls promptly
· Assist office staff as necessary
· Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years prior collections experience with proven track record
· Intermediate MS Excel, Word, & Outlook required
· Must possess upbeat attitude and positive manner when dealing with customers
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
· Experience using integrated software programs a plus
· Treat all co-workers and customers with the utmost respect at all times
· Strong multi-tasking skills required
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others in an office environment
· Bi-lingual a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
