Job Description:
The Training Specalist/ Onboarding Coordinator plans and administers programs that improve the skills and knowledge of the organization’s team members. As part of the Learning and Development Department, the Coordinator delivers services and programs for the workforce with a focus on compliance, safety, quality, and service excellence. The Onboarding Coordinator supports the goals as follows: (1) create a learning environment that encourages continuous learning, (2) provide learning content that motivates personnel to develop new skills, (3) continuously increase job competency across the workforce, and (4) assisting in the delivery of customer service excellence.
Function and Job Duties:
- Manages and oversees the entire onboarding process.
- Set up initial onboarding documents to prepare candidates for the onboarding and training process.
- Facilitates a 2–3-week training course for all call center schedulers and medical assistants.
- Works closely with HR, IT, and department managers ensuring all pre-employment processes and forms are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provides status updates and performance reviews relating to candidate’s onboarding and training progress.
- Collaborates with colleagues on the improvement of hiring procedures. May make recommendations for additional employee training.
- Travels to multiple sites and work closely with department managers to create resources specific to each market’s workflow and procedures.
- Stresses the importance of communication, collaboration, and employee engagement to aid in the success of all new hires.
- Takes initiative to gather facts, identify challenges, and determine data statistics to recommend decisions and solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Overview:
- Not remote- Primary office to report to is in Irving, TX.
- Consistent Travel: 50% - 75% to our call center sites including ( Maitland, FL, Chino, CA and Chula Vista, CA).

Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Strong computer skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Able to communicate effectively through verbal and written skills.
- Detail oriented and capable of exploring innovative solutions to complex problems
- Able to develop e-learning materials.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
- Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
Required Education and Experience
- Two years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Organizational Development or equivalent
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. The hours of work and days may vary, with a designated lunch and rest periods as per State laws.
