IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:

Resolves tickets representing staff-generated technical requests or problems and troubleshoots technical and process issues to maintain productivity.

Installs software and necessary applications for workflow.

Documents hardware and software updates.
-
Trains users on new software and processes through a variety of training methods such as in-person training, virtual meetings, self-guided videos, or written SOPs.

Prepares process documents and instructional guides to be reviewed with the System Administrator and/or the BT Manager then shared with the company for education.

Perform user account creation and activation, password resets, privilege assignment, group membership management, directory access control.
-
Provision THS provided laptop or tablet and cell phone for new employees based on role and job responsibilities.

Maintain accurate asset inventory including asset owner, device condition, and required updates.

Assign data and security permissions dependent on user and role type.

Help with rollout of new software or technology as needed.

Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Must be comfortable and be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Requires excellent customer service skills to include a positive attitude, strong communication and organizational skills

Experience with managing and troubleshooting to maintain multi-system functionality within the business is preferred.

Possess the ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical employees.

Collaborative mindset.

Prior experience working on a Helpdesk, in IT, or similar technical function.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Environment.

Experience or prior knowledge of supplementary Microsoft products is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Superior understanding of computer hardware and software systems
Additional Information:

Associates Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred

Location: Hybrid, must be willing to commute to Apex, NC headquarters.
