Overview: As a facilities service professional at Grand Brook Memory Care, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall community facility maintenance standards & services and is part of a team that strives to care for and support their residents and their families the same way they would care for their own loved ones.
Job Description: The Maintenance Manager will supervise all activities related to maintenance service in compliance with the standards established by Grand Brook, Federal, State, Local, MSDS, EPA & OSHA regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include understanding and directing multi‐craft commercial maintenance, insuring the community safety plan is enforced in execution of all work plans.
Other tasks (not an all-inclusive list) include:
- Responsible for routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields including HVAC, plumbing and general cleaning; all within budget parameters.
- Inspects building and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions making notes and recommendations.
- Performs electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures.
- Performs plumbing maintenance, painting, carpentry & masonry work.
- Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space to accommodate user needs and maximize space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
- Prepares surfaces and paints various structures and equipment to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent. Complete 12 hours of continuing education (provided through community in services).
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year training and experience in a commensurate role including standard practices used in commercial maintenance and required education; or equivalent combination of education
and experience. Ability to pass pre‐employment Knowledge & Skills Assessment (KSA); ability to read and interpret blueprints & operating procedures.
- Other: Dedication to serve seniors with passion and excellent customer service. Flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents, clients and staff. Ability to read, write, speak and interpret
English. Must have a valid driver license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
