The School Based Clinician provides school-based and crisis-oriented counseling services to early childhood kids and engages families. Responsible for direct and indirect clinical services. Completes and submits all required documentation. Provides community education and agency consultation along with emergency services as needed and directed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provides direct clinical services with students in a school setting.
- Coordinate and participate in development of individualized comprehensive client treatment plans.
- Engages in evidence-based practices to teach life skills including but not limited to: Positive coping skills, anger management, bullying, positive self-esteem, social skills, anxiety and depression.
- Assists clients and families in identifying and accessing community resources.
- Provide coordination and assistance in crisis intervention and stabilization.
- Assist client in gaining formal and informal community and personal networking.
- Work closely with school staff and attend meetings to facilitate ongoing communication.
- Ensures the timely completion of all documentation.
- Maintain relevant documentation and provide statistical reporting.
- Complete crisis intervention and stabilization as needed and directed.
Abilities/Skills:
Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
Must demonstrate good judgment skills.
Able to utilize basic problem-solving skills.
Able to resolve crisis situations in the most clinically effective manner.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver license with acceptable driving record.
Education/Experience/Licensure:
Master’s degree preferred with an Ohio license as an LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC; will consider Bachelor's degree with a license as an LSW or LPC.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
