We are looking for a Baker/Customer Service Representative to support our growing business. We need a team member who loves to bake and enjoys creating retail displays while providing excellent customer service. And… we’re not gonna lie, we might ask you to help with the dishes and other cleaning tasks occasionally. It’s a small business and we need people who thrive in an environment where we all pitch in to get the job done. This position starts at 4:00 am Tuesday-Saturday, and would be either a 4 hour shift or more, depending on the number of hours the right candidate would like to work per week.
Baker Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries and desserts for cases and orders.
- Develops weekly rotating pastry and dessert selections for our cases.
- Decorates baked goods such as cupcakes & cookies using a pastry bag.
- Follows recipes with the ability to increase yield based on baker calculations and has the ability to use commercial baking tools.
- Notes inventory needs and lists for supply orders including ingredients and packaging, ensures proper storage and refrigeration as required.
- Works to keep waste to a minimum strives to use any and all leftovers into usable products.
- Cleans, breaks down, and puts away all baking equipment including: ovens, mixers, floors, freezer, and refrigerators
Administrative Responsibilities
· Helps maintain daily production schedule
· Answers phones and reach out to customers as needed
Baker Qualifications/Skills:
· Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to safely and effectively operate standard foodservice equipment
- Flexibility and ability to shift between tasks as needed; multitasking required
- Good Decision-making/problem solving/team work skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and prompt
- High energy Level
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Baking experience
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
