The Crystal Process Engineer role is responsible for providing technical expertise in designing and developing processes to support the fabrication of quartz crystal resonators in Orlando, FL.
This position involves designing the following:
- Improving and updating crystal manufacturing processes by designing manufacturing equipment
- Creating crystal resonators using various software programs, such as in-house software and COMSOL
Other responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintaining various manufacturing processes, such as lapping and polishing, chemical etching, thin film evaporation, cleaning, and sealing
- Enhancing processes through the use of engineering tools and statistical concepts
- Ensuring accurate documentation and procedures are maintained
- Identifying and initiating the procurement of equipment, supplies, and manufacturing tools
- Leading and collaborating with product and process improvement teams
- Working closely with cross-functional engineering groups to perform concurrent engineering tasks
