The Jewish New Teacher Project is a division of the acclaimed New Teacher Center focused on Jewish day schools. JNTP brings NTC’s proven approach to education and mentoring methodology to teachers and administrators of all subjects and grades in Jewish day schools. Since 2003, JNTP has worked with over 310 schools and over 2,000 educators. This year alone, over 40,000 students in Jewish day schools have a teacher trained by JNTP.
Your Impact:
As Senior Program Consultant, you will report to the Director, Administrator Support Program (ASP), and will play a senior role in one of JNTP’s two signature programs: Administrator Support Program for administrators new to their role (1-3 years). Your responsibilities will include designing and leading the delivery of Professional Development content, coaching a portfolio of new administrators, supporting the growth of junior colleagues, and cultivating partnerships with schools.
What Will You Do:
As Senior Program Consultant on the ASP team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Work with Director, ASP, to drive the overall direction and growth of ASP
Oversee relationship management and engagement across all stakeholders including the JNTP team, client, funders, and partner organizations
Co-design and execute program strategy including providing problem-solving consultation & support, implementation of professional learning that is responsive to context, and data-driven support to drive impact
Serve as lead facilitator in delivering high-quality professional learning (in-person and online) and cultivate growth of junior colleagues
Coach a portfolio of novice, and more veteran, administrators
Consult and work closely with clients to design and deliver custom professional development at client sites and conferences
Provide consultation and thought-partnership to school leadership with JNTP partners including heads of school and senior administrators
Sustain and deepen partnerships, renew existing contracts, and support business development
Contribute to JNTP’s thought leadership through blogs and articles
Participate in JNTP and NTC cross-functional teams and retreats as needed and facilitate internal learning for colleagues
May supervise up to two staff members and/or may oversee significant initiatives or projects aligned with JNTP’s strategic priorities or program department goals.
What You Bring:
Master’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
3+ years of people management experience as a Jewish day school administrator (direct supervisory and management responsibilities including hiring, developing, and evaluating performance)
Minimum of 3 years facilitating professional learning for adults and/or coaching/mentoring teachers and/or school leaders
Experience collaborating with and building capacity of school leaders
Must be able to manage intersecting scopes of work and navigate complex environments with finesse/professionalism
Comfortable and confident in leading consultations with partners’ executive leadership to drive strategy and decision-making
Experience with JNTP program or services preferred
Knowledge of professional teaching and administrative standards, content materials, assessments, and methods that improve student achievement
Knowledge and experience designing and facilitating professional learning for teachers and/or leaders, and coaching educators
Ability to develop or contribute to professional publications and training materials
Ability to manage complex programs involving multiple participants
Ability to manage one’s time and productivity in a fluid, team-oriented work environment with a high level of initiative, creativity, and flexibility
Ability to collaborate with JNTP personnel, often in other functions, to assess and improve partner services using innovative and effective approaches
Reflective practitioner demonstrating the ability to use feedback to improve self, program, and community
Knowledge of school reform, professional learning communities, and the impact of coaching
Knowledge of adult learning theories and practices
Proficiency in Google Suite

This position offers a competitive starting salary range of $103,445-$112,573 and a robust benefits package. TRAVEL: Minimum travel (15-20%) - To include: PD delivery, JNTP retreat, the org-wide annual NTC fall retreat, internal learning convenings, and at least 1 conference.
