We are seeking a Front Desk receptionist/Scheduler with prior experience in medical settings to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations efficiently, providing excellent customer service to patients, and scheduling appointments in accordance with established procedures. This role requires a personable demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
1. Patient Reception: Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude. Handle inquiries in person, over the phone, and through email promptly and professionally.
2. Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems or manual methods as necessary. Ensure appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently, considering patient preferences, physician availability, and clinic protocols.
3. Verification and Documentation: Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and any required documentation accurately. Update patient records as necessary, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
4. Billing Assistance: Assist patients with billing inquiries.
5. Communication Liaison: Serve as a communication link between patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members. Relay messages, requests, and important information accurately and promptly.
7. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to clinical staff as needed, including photocopying, faxing, and data entry tasks. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area and other common areas.
