Reports To: Floor Supervisor/ Food and Beverage Director
Availability: Wednesday-Friday nights, Saturday and Sunday mornings
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Expo/Food Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered promptly and accurately, maintaining a smooth flow between the kitchen and dining areas. This role requires availability on Wednesday-Friday nights and Saturday/Sunday mornings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Coordination: Efficiently coordinate and expedite food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery and presentation according to restaurant standards.
- Quality Control: Check each order for accuracy and presentation before it is delivered to the customer, ensuring high standards of food quality.
- Customer Service: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns about their orders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and other food runners to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line, food preparation areas, and dining spaces. Assist in restocking supplies as needed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise during service.
- Assistance: Assist servers with table setup, clearing tables, and resetting for the next guests as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a food runner, expo, or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays and supplies for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Availability: Must be available to work Wednesday-Friday nights and Saturday/Sunday mornings.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
