SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is an active role that supports the crafting of the tastiest sour candies in the world for customers and distributors throughout the nation. This fast-paced position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain building and facility equipment according to safety, and predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. A main focus of this role is to provide preventative and corrective maintenance support activities to the facilities boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and building operations. A secondary responsibilities is to provide general support to the Maintenance Team by performing plant maintenance activities as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on various pieces of equipment to include boilers, chillers, HVAC systems and physical building support.
- Ensure chillers and processed water systems are in good working condition daily while analyzing and detecting situations of a more complex nature.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of steam boilers, wastewater treatment facility, hot water heaters, HVAC systems and air compressors.
- Performs repair and installation activities to support building users, such as replacing lighting, ceiling tiles, building maintenance/beautification efforts and supporting internal customers (assembling furniture, hanging items, etc.).
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information as required.
- Supports the Maintenance Team as needed in providing maintenance and/or troubleshooting support to a wide variety of industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Works in a safe fashion and adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Safety Practices at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years’ strong experience in maintaining and repairing boilers, chillers and HVAC systems.
- Demonstrated experience in facility maintenance activities.
- Strong desire to achieve while working within and supporting a team environment.
- Prior experience providing maintenance support in an industrial environment strongly desired.
- Self-starter, hardworking with a positive attitude
- Must be able to lift up to 30# frequently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar industry preferred

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skill required, such as opening programs and adding or updating text fields.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate with co-workers and/or read instructions or written standards for production in English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform or learn basic mathematic skills as needed.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables.
