Job Title
Purpose of Job
- This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the financial operations of the organization. The position will work closely with the accounting team and management to provide financial analysis, reporting, and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
- Manage accounts receivable, including collections, and recording customer payments.
- Communicate effectively with clients - both internal and external
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
2. Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis results.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.
3. Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement control procedures as necessary.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
4. Financial Systems and Software:
- Utilize accounting software to record, reconcile, and analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with the IT department to maintain and improve financial systems and

- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support.
- Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
10. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Liaise with other departments to gather financial information and address accounting-related inquiries.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a staff accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a small business or startup environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry-specific accounting regulations and compliance is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
