The Resident Care Aide NOC is responsible for providing care and assistance to residents in a senior living community during the night shift. The Resident Care Aide NOC will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and will be responsible for providing personal care, medication administration, and other duties as assigned.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by a licensed nurse
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report any concerns to the licensed nurse
- Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed
- Document care provided and observations in the electronic health record
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the licensed nurse or supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transferring residents
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
The Resident Care Aide NOC will work primarily during the night shift, which may include weekends and holidays. The work environment may include exposure to infectious diseases, unpleasant odors, and challenging behaviors from residents. The Resident Care Aide NOC may be required to work in a variety of settings, including resident rooms, common areas, and outside the community.
