IHC seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Patient Service Representative RN/LPN to join our call center!
Overview: As a Clinical Patient Service Representative, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team! You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment that values teamwork and contributes to IHC’s mission!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Helping to improve the patient’s experience from the beginning of their encounter by answering the phone to the end of their visit by assisting with completing steps in the treatment plan, such as sending a referral to a specialist

Assist in training new staff for the Patient Service Center

Will be answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, routing calls, and addressing other patients’ needs

Will be sending and following up on referrals, completing Prior Authorizations, Scheduling Diagnostic Imaging tests, and other patient care-related paperwork

Works with the management team to schedule appointments according to Patient Scheduling guidelines and IHC needs

Processes appropriate patient paperwork in a timely manner

Educate patients regarding documents they will need to provide at the appointment

Accurately maintains and retrieves data on IHC’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Communicates appropriate diagnostic and clinical information to patients

Communicate with patients care team as necessary

May assist with contacting patients for reminder calls and follow-up

May assist with pre-chart preparation; proactively contacting patients to schedule appointments based on scheduling guidelines to increase IHC’s efficiency and productivity

Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited RN program
-
Licensure: Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Indiana

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
-
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
-
Interacts with colleagues and patients in a professional manner
