**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Church Secretary to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the church, ensuring the smooth operation of the office, and providing excellent communications to our congregation. The Church Secretary will play a vital role in maintaining the church's records, sending out communications, and providing a welcoming and professional atmosphere to our community.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage the church's calendar, scheduling appointments and events, and ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.
- Provide administrative support to the pastor and other church leaders, including managing correspondence, preparing reports, and completing tasks as assigned.
- Coordinate projects and events, including meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including baptismal records, membership lists, etc.
- Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, copying, and answering phone calls.
- Develop and maintain a clean and organized office environment, ensuring the church's administrative space is tidy and functional.
**Qualifications:**
- Candidates must be Christian, ideally Lutheran. (Our church is part of the LCMS.)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a church setting.
- Proficiency in calendar management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Publisher.
- Ability to learn ServantKeeper (church record keeping software)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
