Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant, you will report to the Senior Medical Assistant and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with medical procedures, including biopsies and specific treatments.
- Conducting patient photography and applying numbing medication prior to procedures.
- Maintaining and stocking the lab, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available and functional.
- Sterilizing medical instruments to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Handling prior authorizations for procedures and treatments.
- Triaging patients and gathering relevant medical information.
- Documenting clinical notes in the EZDerm system.
- Performing facials using our BelaMD device once properly trained.
- Occasionally managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, checking in and out patients, and handling patient documents.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in a medical assistant role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical procedures and safety protocols.
- Basic understanding of medical insurance and billing procedures.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent patient care at all times.
- Proficiency in conducting medical procedures, with a thorough understanding of safety protocols and patient care standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating a commitment to delivering the highest level of patient care.
