Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition of properties in Dane and Jefferson Counties, including repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance tasks. You will rotate with a dedicated team and work alongside our supportive managers and maintenance staff. Our team is easy-going, and our corporate office offers a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, HVAC repairs, electrical installations, and plumbing.
- Carpentry knowledge for cabinets, doors, and windows.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or management.
- Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Ensure compliance with drug-free, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Document all work performed, including images, notes, and replacement details, using AppFolio software.
- Enter residents' homes appropriately, clean up after yourself, be polite, and communicate repairs and updates with management and residents.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
- Mathematical abilities for precise measurements and calculations.
- Experience in facilities maintenance and repair work.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques.
- Ability to use tools such as ohmmeters and logic controllers.
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with tenants and management.
- Leadership skills for supervising maintenance staff.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Strong technological skills, including using cell phones, software, scanners, email, cameras, and computers.
