WJM Professionals is recruiting CNAs to work at The National Institutes of Health (NIH). The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Candidate will respond to patients experiencing an escalation in behavior who require additional staff support.
. Must have two years of acute care experience in a hospital setting.
· Candidates with experience working in an inpatient or urgent care hospital setting as a CNA/PCT are required.
· Direct patient care is a must.
· Checking and recording patient vital signs each day and keeping precise records in the patient’s chart
· Must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), and exhibit empathy and professionalism in their interactions.
· Assist in more complex medical procedures where needed.
· Attention to detail, consistency, interpersonal skills, record-keeping, medical terminology knowledge, understanding of disorders, hygiene, empathy, and critical thinking,
· Help perform critical tasks that ensure patients are well-cared for and safe during their hospital stay.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience working in an acute care setting in a hospital environment.
· Must have at least 2 years of experience in an acute setting such as a hospital.
· Up to date Certified Nursing Assistant license from any state
. Up-to-date CPR/BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Available Shifts (work when you are available)
NIH operates 365 days a year.
Candidate will work 12-hour shifts; 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.-7:30 a.m., Sunday to Saturday.
