Medical Billing Collections Specialist - DME
We have a team of proficient specialists looking for an added member to help our team in collecting from insurances, patients, hospitals, and other agencies. Kadence Healthcare is a California DME/HME provider of home oxygen, CPAP, ventilators, hospital beds, and other products servicing from San Diego to Sacramento. Responsibilities:
- Compile medical records from Brightree Software.
- Have good organization and planning skills, which will help with handling a large caseload and managing multiple medical records projects.
- Assist with the Appeal and Audits process in coordination with AR Specialists.
- Being able to work and keep track of deadlines for timely filing, etc.
- Paying attention to detail and identifying inaccuracies in medical records.
- Professional email and communication skills with the AR Specialist and the Facility.
- Having knowledge of the different DME medical necessity criteria for each Insurance company and level of care.
- Participating in brainstorming and bringing new ideas to improve the process is always welcome, while also embracing the processes already in place.
- Able to work independently, and within a team setting.
- Be proficient at using Microsoft Office, Excel, PDF organizers, etc
Data Entry: Accurately enter codes and other relevant information into Brightree
Audit and Quality Assurance: Conduct internal audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of coding assignments and make corrections as needed to avoid errors.
Documentation Review: Review patient medical records, physician notes, and other relevant documents to extract necessary information for coding.
Data Analysis: Utilize coding data for statistical analysis, reporting, and identifying trends that can help in improving healthcare services and revenue cycles.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Biller, a part of our corporate office, you will assist in team goals with conflict resolution situations.

A Day in the Life:
Correct claims and mail claims
Reads EOB's to identify denials and short payments
Submitting Medical Records & Filing Appeals
Handle inbound and outbound phone calls with patients and/or insurance companies
Resolve claim denials and aging

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
