Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO, Inc. is a management services organization that provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group and ColumbiaDoctors of the Hudson Valley. RN, Procedural Gastrointestinal
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, monitoring, and technical support of patients having endoscopic procedures with sedation in an outpatient procedural setting.
- Prepare patient for gastrointestinal procedures, provide peri-procedure care, and administer post-procedure and follow-up care.
- Provide patient education, anticipatory guidance, and discharge teaching to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice, clinical and technical teams.
- Possess procedural knowledge and competence to support physicians during procedure.
- Administer oral, SQ, IM and IV therapies and treatments as per physician order.
- Implement infection control, patient care, and safety protocols.
- Maintain clinical and procedural supplies and equipment.
- Set-up procedure supplies and equipment and process specimens for laboratory pick-up.
- Implement daily safety equipment checks and maintenance.
- Minimum of 1-year ICU or related experience; GI procedural RN experience in adult inpatient or outpatient gastroenterology setting strongly preferred.
- RN License; BLS and ACLS certifications, required.
- EPIC EMR experience a plus!
Education and Experience
- Graduate of a School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse license.
- BLS, ACLS, and Infection control certifications.
- 3+ years RN experience with a least 1 year in procedural or equivalent setting required.
