Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform minor maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical wiring using hand tools.
- Maintain overall security of the hotel, including door locks, key security, and asset protection.
- Respond to guest requests for service and stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area and equipment.
- Keep records of equipment maintenance and repair, and ensure par stocking of supplies.
- Embrace company culture and comply with all policies and procedures.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to motivate team members and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hotel maintenance procedures and standards.
- Comfortable with a high level of visibility and leadership role within the hotel and community.
Education & Experience:
- Certificate from a Vocational Institution preferred, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance and three years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, and painting trades.
- Current Driver’s License required.
Hours:
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends, with availability for emergency response as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
- Physical activities include climbing, kneeling, standing, walking, and lifting.
- Close visual acuity required for various tasks.
Environmental Conditions:
- Work occurs both inside and outside the hotel.
- May be exposed to hazards such as moving mechanical parts and exposure to chemicals.
- Occasional work in confined spaces may be required.
