Medical/Ophthalmic Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time medical/ophthalmic technician in Bellevue and Kirkland, WA.
We are a dynamic eye care practice with specialties that include dry eye, retina, cornea, and pediatrics. We work as a family to help the families in our community. We are looking for an individual who has a “can do” attitude, loves working with patients, and an amazing staff. This position includes a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in a manner that places emphasis on quality of care.
We are looking for an individual that is a quick learner and self-starter. Experience in ophthalmology/optometry is preferred however we are willing to train on the job. Medical experience is a plus. We are a state-of-the-art facility and are looking for someone that is interested in further advancing their knowledge and love of health care.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares for patient appointments by reviewing and updating patient records prior to appointment.
- Maintains exam rooms according to protocols
- Appropriately prepares patient for visit and alerts physician when the patient is ready to be seen. Takes vision, history, refraction, pressure, and dilates; accurately documents in the medical chart according to generally accepted medical standards.
- Assists physician upon request during the examination of patient and according to generally accepted medical standards.
HOURS
Monday through Friday approx. 8:00am-5:00 pm
