We are looking for a Control System Engineering Lead that will be the technical lead for the construction of DP control systems. This role includes overseeing the release of the Bill of Materials for supply chain demand and production, configuration of software using software configurator and overall clarification of technical implementation for projects / deliveries in close cooperation with customers and suppliers. The successful candidate should have a basic knowledge of classification rules. Additionally, the Control System Engineering Lead produces the documentation deliverables to supply chain, aftermarket and yard/owner.
A. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain control systems and their associated drawings in CAD.
- Prepare project bill of materials for supply chain demand.
- Configure project specific software using provided software configurator.
- Provides clarification for the technical queries from production, clients, etc.
- Conduct the acceptance testing, system troubleshooting, and system optimization to ensure system performance and reliability standards are met.
- Prepare the final project documentation deliverables to clients.
- Collaborate with software development team to integrate control algorithms into system software.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
- Ensure quality control in accordance with the company ISO-9001:2015 Quality Assurance System (QAS).
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company HSE standards and procedures.
IV. QUALIFICATIONS
A. MINIMUM
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with CAD and Electrical CAD based drafting products.
- Knowledge of low current / voltage electrical applications and control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- B. PREFERRED
- At least five (5) years’ experience in control system / automation manufacturing.
- Experience with marine classification society rules and regulations.
- Experience with Marine or Energy sector applications.
- Experience with industrial control automation and user interfaces.
- Previous experience working with Dynamic Positioning Systems.
