The Emergency Room / Clinical Nurse Manager assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing services in the facility. In collaboration with facility Administration, allocates department resources in an efficient and economic manner. Collaborates with other departments, medical professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups, to develop, support and coordinate patient care, related administrative functions, and to represent the interests of the facility.
This candidate must be able to work overtime. Must be available on an “on-call” basis. Has a cell phone to be summoned to the facility in an emergency and is expected to report to the facility in an emergency within 30 minutes. Will shift 1-2 shifts per week and 3-4 administrative days (Administrative Hours 8-5pm). 24/7 on call after hours and weekends. Will provide oversight of all clinical departments: Pharmacy, Laboratory, Hospital and Emergency Departments. Will assure that all clinical staff maintain their licensure(s) and certifications current and copies are maintained in the facility.
