Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse/Inventory Control Manager to join our team in Kent, WA. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of inventory and purchasing, ensuring efficient resource management for all departments. This role includes developing and implementing inventory controls, recommending improvements, and managing the warehouse and purchasing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all inventory management and purchasing activities for Northwest Fire Systems.
- Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures and systems.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Recommend improvements to enhance purchasing and inventory efficiency.
- Manage and lead the warehouse and purchasing team, providing guidance and support.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and generate regular reports.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the warehouse.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best pricing and service.
- Implement and manage asset tracking systems to ensure accountability and proper utilization of company assets.
- Manage and optimize fleet operations, including maintenance schedules, usage tracking, and cost control.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with fire protection industry materials and equipment is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain management are advantageous.
