Description
Performs a variety of professional duties required to support the day-to-day operations of the school health services program, including the handling of complex and/or sensitive situations; oversees liaison staff; collaborates with school and county organizations and groups.
Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.

Three (3) years of progressive experience in the provision of services to school-aged children in an educational setting or in a pediatric community health role.

Possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing.

Knowledge of theory, procedures, and practices related to student health and wellness.

Knowledge of public health concerns and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies.

Proficiency in the use of technology.

Ability to collaborate with other child-serving agencies.

Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the schools and communities.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and reconcile data.

Working knowledge of computers and software applications.

$70,864 - $120,587
