Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible and accountable for creating manufacturable and cost-effective product designs that satisfy customer requirements.
Job Functions

Provides technical direction to the organization for existing products and new product development.

Interfaces with customers, internal staff and vendors, and then transforms the information into an organized design plan that includes, among other items: drawings, specifications, regulatory compliance, and test procedures.

Primarily designs Electronically Commutated (Brushless) motors (Single and Three Phase), as well as Permanent Magnet Brush DC, Shaded Pole, and Permanent Split Capacitor induction motors.

Contributes to research and development for new technologies, products, processes, and materials as required to ensure company growth and prosperity

Helps the Quality Group by establishing receiving inspection and first article acceptance, supporting technical supplier issues (new approvals and design related questions), establishing production control limits (Mod Sheets), and consulting on general process or workmanship
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Associate’s Degree with equivalent work experience and 6-10 years of design experience.

Mechanical and electrical design knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of Electronically Commutated (Brushless Single and Three Phase) magnetic motor design

Working knowledge of controls and firmware as they relate to EC motors and Motor Design software such as Infolytica Motorsolve

Strong oral and written communication skills.
