The Host responsibilities are to be the first person our guest will see and should always greet the guest with a smile and genuine welcoming attitude. We will provide all the information to set you up for success, but it's up to you to use it. These responsibilities are not the sum total of everything that is involved.

- Must wear proper Nook attire. Must maintain a clean and professional appearance about yourself
- Must work well with others
- Able to read and continually monitor the seating chart and able to communicate that information to the manager/server/kitchen
- Provide patrons with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods. Do not hesitate to give the guest a longer wait time than expected
- Attention To Detail - “ATD”
- Organization and able to multitask; take reservations correctly in an organized manner, provide assistance with high chairs, handicapped guests etc.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment while keeping a cool and controlled demeanor about yourself
- A Nook host is responsible for providing our guests a safe, clean and friendly environment for dining and fellowship
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages
- The host is responsible for learning the food menus to answer any questions and to assist in the taking of to-go orders for the restaurant if needed
- The host will be trained on the Toast POS for ringing in to-go orders to assist the flow of business
