Position Summary
Coordinate day-to-day activities and routine tasks. This role is responsible for training and evaluating the work of the
department and assigning and prioritizing work to be done on all shifts. Function as a planner for projects; ensure
parts, materials and man power are available to complete projects efficiently.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Help plan, organize, delegate and follow-up with job duties assigned to associates for completeness.
- Fill in and perform duties of Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Coordinator in their absence.
- Responsible for the accurate records of parts inventory.
- Coordinate work with outside vendors.
- Understand and perform job duties of a mechanic, when needed.
- Working mechanic performs work and fills out work orders into the CMMS system.
- Conduct random audits on PM's and workorders to ensure proper repairs and PMs are being performed properly and with good quality.
- Provide training and instruction on how to perform all duties required by mechanic team.
- Receive and put inventory away or assigns this task to someone other than the facility maintenance assistant to maintain audit standards, is responsible for consignment inventory, does the research for special parts and is involved with others for the monthly inventory.
- Administers the lock out tag out process at their site.
- Issues welding permits.
- Provides RSVP for fire and follow up for complete with XL Gap.
- Does walks with regulators for site inspections (OSHA, XL GAPs, Code and local officials).
- Does PPE inventory.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or campus that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
Knowledge
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
- Knowledge of company standard practices
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
Skills
- Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and implement solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance related information such as blue prints, diagrams, formulas etc.
Abilities
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in a –5 degree to over 100 degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of time.
Education
- High School Education
- Certified on pallet jack, stand-up and sit-down forklifts
Experience
- 1-3 years maintenance experience

Pay: $72,880.00 - $109,320.00 per year
