The Overland Police Department is seeking a self motivated and career minded individual to serve as a police officer for the City of Overland. The Overland Police Department has a rich tradition of law enforcement since 1939.
The City of Overland is a diverse city that is approximately 4 square miles with a census population of 16,000 residents. There is a true sense of community and small town feel in a mid size city within St. Louis County.
We will consider sponsoring candidates to be hired as a recruit to be sent through the police academy. Military, security, or law enforcement related backgrounds a plus.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- United States Citizen
- Ability to work rotating shifts that occur throughout a 24 hour day
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must desire a career in law enforcement
- Must have graduated from or are currently enrolled in a law enforcement academy
