SUMMARY
The Training Coordinator here at ARAUCO will prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document training activities within the mill. They will manage the employee training records, including follow up with delinquent training, and identify cross-training opportunities for career advancement. They will also administer the site’s work system training programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with leadership, coordinators and teams to map and execute the training plans for each role (employee)
- Work with subject matter experts to review/improve training plans when required
- Ensure completion of all components of the training plan and ensure documentation is captured in the Learning Management System
- Work with SME and leadership to identify additional training requirements and create training materials
- Identify cross-training needs and opportunities for advancement for employees
- Monitor completion and compliance of required training including safety training, work system training, HR training
- Enter completed training records into the Learning Management System
- Create and run reports to monitor compliance of required training
- Provide status updates to leadership and employees on overdue or nearing completion training requirements
- Assign training to employees in the Learning Management System as required
- Assist in building KPI's to measure training completion rates and effectiveness
- Stay up to date on current and changing legislation relating to safety and HR training
- Conduct portions of the classroom and site-specific orientations as required
- Plan and schedule third party vendor supplied training for the site
- Certify to become a Trainer in specific Safety Topics as required (e.g. Fall arrest, confined space, crane, etc.)
- Develop training materials to support requirements and employee development
- Develop and improve assessment tools for required trainings
- Monitor assessments for trends and quality of questions
- Assist the Learning and Development Manager with the implementation of initiatives to identify gaps based on employees’ goals, performance evaluations, skill sets and surveys
- Work with the Safety/HR managers to identify new training opportunities/requirements
