BRX Performance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Baseball Performance Coach to join our dynamic team. - Develop comprehensive strength and conditioning and throwing programs tailored to baseball athletes, considering individual needs and performance goals.
- Conduct biomechanical analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury.
- Provide expert coaching and guidance to athletes during training sessions, focusing on proper technique, intensity, and progression.
- Collaborate with other members of the performance team to deliver integrated training programs.
- Monitor and track athletes' progress, utilizing performance metrics and testing protocols to evaluate their development and adjust training programs accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in strength and conditioning methodologies, sports science research, and technology to innovate and enhance training programs.
- Foster a positive and supportive training environment, building strong relationships with athletes and effectively communicating with them and their support network.
- Conduct assessments both in-person and remotely (via Zoom)
- Deliver prompt service to both in-person and remote athletes and their families
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized strength and conditioning organization (e.g., CSCS, NSCA, or equivalent).
- Experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for baseball athletes.
- In-depth understanding of baseball-specific movement patterns, biomechanics, and performance demands.
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention strategies and effective corrective exercises.
- Excellent coaching skills, with the ability to motivate athletes and provide constructive feedback.
- Proficient in data tracking and analysis using technology and software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and build relationships with athletes.
