Overview:
A Store Associate at 7-Eleven plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the store. They provide excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness and organization, and perform various tasks to support daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle payments accurately.
- Promote and upsell store products and services.
Store Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and backroom areas.
- Stock and replenish merchandise as needed, ensuring products are properly labeled and priced.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
Food Service:
- Prepare and serve fresh food items, including hot and cold beverages, snacks, and meals.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure product quality and customer safety.
- Maintain cleanliness of food service areas and equipment.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follow health, safety, and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Perform regular checks on store equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with management and colleagues to ensure smooth store operations.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve reaching, bending, and stooping.
