Section 8-202 Administrative and Leasing Associate
Organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to support the Section 8-202 housing community. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and have experience working with elderly and/or disabled populations.
Responsibilities typically fall into three main categories: Administrative, Leasing, and Management.
- Manage executive calendars, schedule meetings, and organize travel arrangements.
- Draft and proofread correspondence, emails, and reports.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, resident inquiries, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist residents with forms, applications, and other paperwork as needed, and process applications, background checks screening.
- Order office supplies and manage inventory.
- Oversee maintenance requests and track their completion.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Support other team members with administrative tasks.
- Assist property manager in daily operations and tasks.
- Coordinate and participate in resident events and activities, fostering a vibrant and supportive living environment.
- Provide emergency assistance to residents when needed.
- Stay informed on changes and updates to Section 8 and 202 program requirements and implement them accordingly.
- Maintains accurate records of all leasing activities.
- Prepare and execute lease agreements and other rental documents in accordance with program regulations.
- Conduct property tours for prospective residents.
- Conducts initial and annual recertifications for prospective and existing residents, including income and asset verification.
- Calculate rent according to HUD guidelines and resident income. * Conducts property inspections and prepares reports.
- Complies with all fair housing regulations and ensures equal access to housing opportunities.
- Maintain waiting list and manage its movement according to established protocols.
- Conduct marketing activities and outreach to promote the property and attract qualified prospects.
There will possibly be more assistance needed to carefully fulfill the role of admin.
- College degree or equivalent, preferred
- Property Management Certification.
- Bilingual skills.
- Experience with housing management software.
- Salary: $17.00 per hour during training. $19 per hour as salary upon completion of training. (Training program is between 6 months and 1 year.)
