We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our property management company as a Facilities Director. In this role, you will address common maintenance issues across multiple properties, assisting with repairs and installations as well as recommending subcontractors for serious infrastructural projects. You must be able to address a host of common property issues, such as electrical, plumbing, and heating. Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property management and maintenance, along with reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to respond to emergencies as they arise.
Duties:
- Oversee and manage property maintenance operations
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks and projects
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Manage the maintenance budget and track expenses
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and support
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and services
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent project management abilities to plan, execute, and monitor maintenance projects
- Proficient in high voltage electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience in fabricating parts and equipment as needed
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly address maintenance issues
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, vendors, and contractors
