JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team who has a passion for providing high-quality patient care in a Primary Care Medical Home team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide primary care services to patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families about preventive care, health promotion, and disease management
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic medical records
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing or related field.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Family Medicine ARNP in an Ambulatory Primary Care Clinic managing patients with multiple complex chronic medical conditions.
- Three (3) months experience using EPIC preferred
- Experience working with Native Community preferred
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- Board Certified in Family Practice or Acute Care (FNP-BS, NP-C, ACNP-BC, etc.)
- Washington state RN license
- Washington state ARNP license. New graduates can work with a temporary license up to 3 months or DEA license. New graduates will need to possess a full and unrestricted DEA within 6 months of hire. Must maintain as condition of continued employment
- Must possess current CPR certification and maintain as condition of continued employment
- Must complete required Tulalip Health System credentialing process prior to start date
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
