JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for preparing undercoating supplies and undercoating truck bodies and body parts. Understand how to mix base coat, clear coat, and single-stage industrial coating paints. Spray coat large surfaces with the above coatings with a high-quality finish
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Masking truck bodies and toolboxes
- Spray undercoating on all truck bodies and toolboxes to the job specification
- Mix and spray coal tar to correct thickness
- Mix and touch up truck bodies and toolboxes
- Clean and maintain all equipment
- Mix and spray industrial type/automotive type paints
- Apply basic divisible math, 1/2, 2/3rds, etc., to paint mixing
- Operate and maintain all job-related tooling and equipment
- Perform all Safety and Housekeeping duties
- Other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Supervisor
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- A High School diploma, or equivalent, is preferred
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE):
- Required to use safety glasses, hearing protection, and wear safety-toed shoes
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Plant environments such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes
- Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable
- Excessive heat in the summertime

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
