Responsibilities

Drive Network Modernization: Engage in strategic planning for network modernization, leveraging your deep technical expertise to implement cutting-edge network designs and architectures.

Architect Naval Enterprise Networks: Lead the design and architecture of Naval Enterprise Networks, ensuring they are scalable, redundant, and optimized for peak performance.

Leverage Cloud-Based Solutions: Utilize cloud-based Arista networking solutions and processes to enhance network capabilities and deliver superior user experiences.

Implement DevSecOps Principles: Apply DevSecOps principles to securely configure and deliver advanced network engineering solutions, ensuring robust and secure network operations.

Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Collaborate with Vendors: Partner with vendors to evaluate and select state-of-the-art networking equipment and technologies that meet and exceed customer objectives.

Qualifications

Must have a DoD 8570.01-M, IAT level 2 certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a network engineer, with a strong emphasis on cloud networking.
- Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching.
- Experience with Arista Cloud Vision solution.

Familiarity with various network management tools: NNMi, Netscout, HPNA, and Aternity.

Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting next-generation security products with vendors, such as Palo Alto, Juniper.
- Experience with Azure Express Route, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), and other cloud networking services.
- In-depth understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Palo Alto PCNSE certification preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
