As the Associate /Operations Manager, you will promote the Ballard Designs brand at every guest encounter and ensure the team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experiences. Your leadership will guide company programs, increase sales, and deliver operational excellence.

You will report to the Store Manager
Your Impact
- In partnership with the Store Manager, you will oversee and direct the work of 7-9 team members and 2 direct reports, e.g., assign work; evaluate work performance; provide coaching and performance feedback; counsel and discipline team members when warranted; schedule team members. Make plan & drive EBITDA by sales performance management, control cost through optimal scheduling, inventory management and purchasing of supplies. Train and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service that drives repeat business.
- Competent in merchandise flow processes, including inspecting and receiving new merchandise and entering accurate data into inventory management system
- Work collaboratively on floor-sets and continual replenishment of inventory to create an extraordinary guest experience
- Effectively model strong leadership activities to drive results; ensure engagement among team represents the Ballard experience
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.
What You Bring
- 3+years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail business environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Kronos, and POS systems.
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand long periods of time and climb ladders.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
