Quality Engineer
Type of Position: Salaried / Exempt
Reports To: Quality Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team! As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging and other operational processes, as well as ensuring that quality programs are in compliance with regulatory requirements. A successful quality engineer should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, have a high attention to detail, and can work well in a team environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review engineering and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, co-workers and management to ensure quality standards are met and feedback is addressed.
- Monitor materials for defects
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances
- Prepare and analyze reports and data on quality performance and issues
- Perform risk assessments; identify and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct audits of supplier facilities and operations
- Create and review quality documentation and test plans
- Design, execute and document detailed process maps to improve work center flow, output and quality
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions as needed
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field required; combination of education and experience may be considered
- Proven experience in manufacturing required
- Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills required
- In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering required
- Good working knowledge of quality control standards and government compliance required. (ISO9001/AS9100D experience preferred)
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles required
- Ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency required
- Excellent communication and liaison skills required
- Certification as a Quality Engineer preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
