Little Oaks Montessori is a Montessori school seeking energic Primary Teachers for our 2023-24 school year for our Primary classrooms, which include a three-year cycle of early childhood and kindergarten (3- through 6-year-old) students. Each Primary classroom has 22 students, one Montessori-trained lead teacher, one assistant teacher (while not required, some of our assistant teachers are also Montessori trained), and a full set of Montessori materials.
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a 4-year degree, preferably in education and a Montessori credential!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday variable shifts
Compensation: $45,000 - $48,000 annually, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the early childhood team to prepare, implement, and maintain the Primary classroom environment.
- Develop lesson plans and manage the learning experiences for students to ensure the needs of the group and individual students are met.
- Develop positive relationships with children and families.
- Participate in all parent-oriented activities.
- Participate in professional development activities designated by the Director.
- Fulfill cleaning, opening, and lock-up responsibilities, as applicable.
- Assess the needs of the class and prepare requests for materials according to school procedures, updates inventory as new materials are received and submits an accurate year-end inventory to Director.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and student assessment.
- Maintain a neat, clean, well-organized, and attractive prepared environment consistent with Montessori pedagogy.
- Work with the full community of students, teachers, families, and administrators in articulating and maintaining the integrity and scope of our Montessori program.

Ability to work 12 months out of the year. Work hours when school is in session will be scheduled between the hours of 7:30- 5:30. Teachers must assist with any opening or closing of school activities. Attendance to Montessori events outside of the normal work week is highly encouraged and sometimes required, depending on the event.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
