Marion Public Health is looking for a motivated, innovative Director of Nursing who wants to lead a great team to an exciting future. The director of nursing will also oversee communicable disease programs, epidemiology, immunizations, and vital statistics. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s of Nursing licensure, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Five years’ supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of public health, infectious disease, and immunization administration a plus. This is a full time position with a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff
- Participate in data collection and analysis to determine agency priorities
- Assure agency maintains accreditation status
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance public health outcomes
- Stay current with developments in nursing practice and regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of nursing administration principles and practices
- Knowledge of medical records management systems
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate
