About The Opportunity
Based in either our Denver or Avon, CO office, you'll take charge of the accounting side of our exciting real estate projects in Charleston, SC. You'll be the go-to person for managing accounts payable and receivable, crafting financial reports, and keeping things running smoothly with lenders and vendors. Your attention to detail will ensure our projects stay on track and on budget. With your proactive attitude and solid accounting skills, you'll help drive our company's financial success and growth.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple real estate development projects
- Prepare journal entries and monthly general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly draw funding requests for construction lenders and investment partners
- Correspond with lenders and provide information needed to process monthly draw requests
- Correspond with venders as required and obtain W9 information
- Prepare 1099’s at year-end
- Prepare financials and month end reporting packages to management and investors
- Work with project managers to review budgets, draw and job cost coding
- Assist with Treasury Management: deposits, wires, bank transfers, bank reconciliations and new accounts
- Record sales and manage cost of sales schedules
- Coordinate and manage audits when applicable

Travel Requirements
- None required, however there will be the opportunity to visit project developments to meet and collaborate with the project team and gain an understanding of the Charleston This will also enhance the team culture between development and accounting teams.

- Salary: $75k-$90k (dependent on experience) + discretionary annual bonus up to 10%, based on performance

About You
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience in real estate development and/or construction project accounting, preferred or public accounting environment
- Knowledge of GAAP, general ledger and preparation of financial statements
- Proficient with NetSuite, Microsoft 365 Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding people skills; able to engage with teammates, leadership and equity partners alike
- Effective organizational and planning skills; able to analyze, problem-solve, prioritize and meet deadlines
- A high level of personal integrity; practices and is able to apply consideration and professionalism both internally and externally
- A self-starter attitude with an ability to work in an office environment with minimal guidance and direction, take initiative and be proactive
- Currently live within or willing to relocate to a commutable distance of either Denver, CO or Avon, CO
