Description: This position will provide the educational components for each Veteran to develop and/or enhance skills for employment placement.
Essential Job Functions:

Conduct initial intake using motivational interviewing techniques, assessment of past work history, education history and desired employment to determine the type of level of education;

Work closely with the Case Manager to develop an Individualized Employment Plan for each Veteran enrolled in program;

Offer coping strategies to participants to help overcome multiple barriers for employment and self-sufficiency;

Assist clients in securing and maintaining meaningful employment placement;

Identify and connect with employers in the community to discuss employment opportunities and placement;

Provide training to employers on program services, supports, and expectations;

Counsel and assist applicant with the personal adjustment to work ethics and assignments;

Evaluate and monitor veterans vocational/occupational skills performance;

Work closely with other Team members to provide services that include resume writing, mock interviews, punctuality; how to get along with others in a work environment, how to take and follow instructions, job readiness; and job search;

Assist Program and Case Manager with various time management and program components such as trainings and presentations;

Prepare draft evaluation reports;

Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and

Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent experience and education combine.
