Currently hiring full-time position for nightshift: Friday-Saturday 8:45pm - 8:45am and Sunday 8:45pm-8am.
Wages:
All staff start at $19/hour for orientation which includes 2 weeks of hands training (additional hands on training will be available as needed). Pay increase is immediate once 90 day trial (training and orientation) is completed (more details on this during interview). Training and orientation also includes all the require licensing certifications and delegations with the house nurse medical manager to be completed which our training team will assist you to achieve during this time. Overtime pay is available. Pay checks are paid twice a month. No experience necessary, just a kind heart that is willing to learn and ready to work!
We are looking for a kind, compassionate individual who is ambitious to learn and care for adults, whom have profound intellectual and developmental disabilities, to join our exquisite and professional team. We have a full-time position open currently and are located in Milwaukie, OR.
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a caregiver who provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation (when applicable), medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. Our setting is considered a medical home, therefore medication and food administrations are done via g-tube or j-tube. As a candidate you must be comfortable with this task - however, it's important to know that anyone can learn how to provide this unique care (more details during the interview). Our medical home setting is licensed to hold a maximum capacity of 5 residents so work load will never be greater than caring for 5 wonderful and unique individuals.

Qualifications
- No experience needed as training on the job is provided for those who are willing to learn
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferred to have a high school diploma or GED (not required)
- Must be willing to learn, retain information, and be an able-bodied worker
- Must be able to push and pull a resident whilst using DME (durable medical equipment)
- Must have verbal English language proficiency
- Preferred to have written English language proficiency as well
- Must be consistent, punctual, and flexible
- Must have or strive for great interdisciplinary and communication skills
- Must be a "team player" - this job is surrounded by teamwork
- Must have your CPR/First Aide Certificate (this can be achieved during our training program as well)
- Must pass the background check through ORCHARDS (Oregon Criminal History and Abuse Records Data System) which is a requirement from the Oregon Department of Human Services (management will run this)
Core job responsibilities
- Provide personalized care for each resident in regards to their individual needs
- Have great interpersonal skills in working together alongside direct support professionals (DSP) as a team
- Ensure a clean, safe, and protected environment
- Assist resident with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional via g-tube or j-tube
- Complete all appropriate documentation to verify work activities
