The Facilities Manager provides strong leadership by effectively managing all installations, repairs, and restaurant maintenance operations. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is willing to teach by example. This position will have a solid understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, plumbing, electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. Must be well versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations.
This position is responsible for:
- · Acts as a liaison with local, county, and state authorities concerning fire and occupational safety.
- · Performs hands-on maintenance on kitchen equipment, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems across all restaurant and retail locations.
- · Conducts preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and cosmetic updates on restaurant equipment and properties; makes necessary adjustments to equipment installations.
- · Ensures adherence to all relevant safety protocols and operational standards for building maintenance by training and enforcing them.
- · Addresses space-related issues in building design, accessibility, and safety through investigation, analysis, and proposal of solutions; devises recommendations to rectify issues.
- · Attends contractor meetings and inspections at various properties.
- · Responds to, prioritizes, and fulfills maintenance requests promptly; schedules or carries out all required exterior and interior repairs.
- · Collaborates with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot problems at different work locations.
- · Supervises and manages external contractors working at designated stores, ensuring effective coordination and communication among all involved parties.
- · Aids supervisors in suggesting capital budget allocations for equipment, building, and property repairs or replacements.
- · Maintains updated service and warranty records to prevent unnecessary repair costs or warranty breaches.
- · Conducts routine restaurant audits (at least one per year), identifies necessary repairs, and trains the Management Team on minor repairs to minimize costs and enhance safety for guests and team members.
- · Manages recurring services like hood cleaning, grease trap pumping, fire suppression, carpet cleaning, and other essential services.
- · Executes preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, and general facility upkeep tasks including painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, flooring, carpentry, and locksmith duties.
- · Oversees all HVAC and refrigeration systems, encompassing installation, operation, and maintenance of temperature control aspects
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5 Years of experience in similar position
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary, while some college education is desirable.
- Prior experience in multi-unit building management.
- Proficiency in refrigeration, HVAC systems, and related building systems is essential.
- Capability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, along with troubleshooting skills.
