The Council on Recovery is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Events Specialist with proven nonprofit marketing and communications, graphic design, and special event experience and skills to join our amazing team.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans and proposals.

Create engaging and shareable content for agency website, blog, social media, quarterly newsletters, and other platforms.

Skill in designing, writing and editing complex communication, public relations and marketing documents.

Develop and nurture relationships internally and with key community partners.

Experience with special event management, marketing and execution.

Command of software such as InDesign, the Adobe creative suite, and Canva.

Has experience editing websites especially with WordPress and oversees The Council’s internet presence, media buys, and outreach.

Develop and drive the agency’s public relations efforts including writing and submitting press releases, facilitating interviews for the news media, and submitting editorial suggestions to various local, statewide, and national news outlets.

Track, analyze and report communications data, including campaign results, conversion rates, and online traffic in order to improve future strategies and campaigns.

Responsible for the agencies’ brand guidelines and standards and gives final approval to printed materials and promotional collateral using the agency’s name and/or logo.

Accepts additional assignments willingly and is flexible to accommodate changing workloads, a variety of personalities and unpredictable situations.

Requirements:
- BA degree required in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or related field.

Five years of related work experience in marketing, public relations and event management in a nonprofit setting.

Exceptional communication and writing skills.
