Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Facilities Engineer - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide engineering support with regard to the company’s facilities projects, including the preparation, maintenance, and updating of all data pertaining to facilities management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
- Assists the department manager with document preparation, product research, plant and contractor interaction, calculations, and inspection of relevant projects.
- Prepares and maintains documentation and data regarding facilities engineering projects:
- Facility layouts
- Expansion Plans
- As built plans
- Concept drawings
- Proposals
- Bid Packages
- Equipment Utility Requirements
- Utility Graphs
- One line diagrams
- Equipment layouts
- Presentation Drawings
- Writes specifications for bid packages regarding facilities improvements for management approval.
- Reviews and reports on facilities engineering project work plans prepared by outside consultants for compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Recommends facilities maintenance standards, policies, and procedures
- Develops performance criteria for ongoing planned facilities engineering activities.
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Architecture, or engineering-related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of experience with facilities CAD, planning, and layout development.
AutoCAD R2000 skills are preferred.
