Job Responsibility/Expectations:
- Provide hands-on, creative, play-based learning experiences that lay the foundation for joyful, life-long learning.
- Teach assigned second grade subjects based on the curriculum such as Math, Reading, Writing, Language arts etc. in a fun and engaging learning environment.
- Promote language and literacy development through the use of developmentally appropriate practices.
- Use data to inform and plan for teaching/learning and utilize the Autism QED methodologies
- Implement developed goals, objectives, curriculum and strategies to ensure consistent learning and standards.
- Utilize a variety of creative teaching strategies to match the learning needs of the student.
- Classroom structure: organized well-planned and well-paced lessons.
- Foster a learning environment emphasizing cognitive, social and emotional growth.
- Engage in a broad array of thoughtful activities that build a bridge between schooling and home.
- Professional environment where developmentally appropriate practices through play-based and inquiry-based learning are encouraged.

Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Elementary Education.
- 3 or more years of successful teaching experience within the last 5 years.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and instructional tools.
- Collaborates well with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on curricular alignment and instructional strategies.
- Demonstrate professional behavior, including discretion, judgment and integrity.
- Must be a team player and have excellent classroom management skills along with project based teaching experience.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
