Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining plating industrial equipment throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated systems. This is a hands-on role, requiring the candidate to take on project work assigned individually or in a team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plating lines and various line equipment.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain ancillary equipment like pumps, filters, and heaters.
2. Preventive Maintenance:
- Implement and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Document all maintenance activities.
3. Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Use diagnostic tools to find and fix issues.
4. Facility Maintenance:
- Maintain plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures.
- Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
5. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and help maintenance manager manage spare parts and supplies.
- Coordinate with maintenance manager for critical parts and supplies.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs using the maintenance software.
- Report on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
8. Collaboration:
- Work with production staff to prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors for specialized repairs.
9. Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Three (3) years or more of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficient with hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safe work practices (LOTO, machine guarding, etc.)
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, and stand.
- Occasionally required to sit, carry, kneel, reach, climb, and handle materials.
- Ability to lift - up to 20lbs occasionally, 5-20lbs frequently.
- Requires clear vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus.

Environment and Scheduling
- Exposure to chemicals and machinery in an electroplating facility.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work is performed during normal business hours.

- Must be flexible and available to work additional hours including weekends when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
